Use Adblock (pro) from chrome, haven't had any issues with it

I don't support ad block because the youtube channels I follow then can't earn ad revenue.

I'd definitely suggest the malware bytes extension. Its actually amazing and helps block ads as well as malware.

Adblock plus is the best. You can use youtube enchancer, an extension to stop ads on youtube (like completely, like yt premium)
