I'm looking to get started intoserver stuff and figured that trialing it may be worth a shot. Before I spend all the time re-imaging my ex-gaming rig for it, I would just like to ask... Is it worth it?

Are there better Linux based solutions that would offer a more wholesome experience than the likes of Windows?

Currently I am running a Windows 10 machine so of course the Windows Server with the GUI would be most familiar, but learning from a command-line may yield a higher understanding of what I am doing.

All in all, not sure, what do you think?

Linux. For it is very multifunctional but at the same time and Windows because it is easy to understand.

I've run CSS/GMOD servers on Ubuntu/Debian perfectly fine. I used to run stuff on windows servers and then moved to Linux, IMO Linuxbased is better.
