Some advertisements may be cancer, but advertisements with miner scripts hidden inside of them are cancer wrapped in a package of AIDS.

Not just advertisements but big data analytics and AI are cancer as well. Because now that these companies are harnessing and sharing all of this data about the majority of the population and processing advertisements based off of the majorities daily activities the majority will be stuck in a constant consumer bubble or loop that will essentially create a virtual future for each person based on their interests yesterday. It really subconsciously traps us, restricting us from changing lifestyles behaviors and interests on a consumer level (which for most people is life), or finding new things to be interested in. The perfect trap.
Essence in the mist, that is the shadow with the grip.
