For years I've been using MyBB and I really like where the project is going but every once in a while I like to change things up a big. I remember being on an IPB forum a couple years back and it was setup really nice. I'm thinking about beginning a forum that's on IPB this time instead of MyBB and see if I can meet a new audience of developers.

Are there any IPB webmasters here on Nulled that would like to throw a few pro's and con's about the platform?

Awesome. When you start up be sure to tell me how it's going along. I really am a little excited to start on a new forum platform.

Same here, I am fan of IPB, and currently using it an active site.
I had some problems with IPB 4, but eventually have been sorted out for the most part. (It was bugs that were reported, eventually.)

If you are planning to switch to paid software, my recommendation goes to Invision Power Services.

Thanks man.

Do you have any past experience running a MyBB forum? I'm also looking for some big differences between the two. Would you personally agree that IPB is a better platform to go with?

Heavy IPS Community Suite user (IPB is the name of the 3.4.x series, they have now changed for the 4.0.x series. ) I've worked with both forum software's and I can tell you the pro's and con's of IPS Community Suite.

Tried AF will update my post which new information.

I've ran MyBB in past, and my experience was so-so. The only thing that I disliked is the fact that it is too user / developer dependent, and the software developers are leading it that way. In my opinion, in order for MyBB to stay in my taste is by using tons of plugins, tons of modifications that modifies the functionality where Invision Power Board is just there, built in.

I want to mention that I never licked MyBB's admincp, and its appearance. It just looks too old, and the software requires lots of manual refreshing, while it can be omitted using latest technology; IPB does that well (especially v4)

That being said, that is solely my opinion, and is slightly biased. It is up to you to 'try' and get hands on experience. Since there are nulled IPB software in this forum, I suggest you to try it first, and decide for yourself.

P.S: If there are any claims that I made did not make sense or is not valid, feel free to criticize / correct me.

I like ipb but it's hard to mode and it has less features comparing to MyBB.
