Any information on STW (fortnite)?

i remember when i played it a lot (stw) but the day came when the ads in the general chat really RAMPEDup.

(accounts that would spam websites that supposedly sold fortnite save the world weapons that were OP)

you could not even see the chat half the time thanks to offers being spammed every 10 seconds, so my question is.. could it have been someone who hacked their system to do that? or maybe had virtual accounts that would be able to spam the general lobby?

Another key note was that the accounts you would search up literally did not exists on their (storm.one) website that gave comprehensive statistics of any account which was odd to me.

only adds to being more likely that the general chat was hacked more than anything else... what do you think?
