How many of you use Docker containers? Do you have a home lab or a home server to play with?

We use Docker and Kubernetes at work.

Can't really give you a solid number on containers, they scale with usage. Docker is very easy to learn if you're interested.

I do have a home lab as well with 6 containers:
- Plex
- NextCloud
- Rocket.chat
- Gmod server in docker
- 2xGitLab runners

Haven't heard of TVheadend before, looks pretty cool.
What specs does the host have and do you ever experience issues with Plex (due to poor transcoding speeds)?

sorry for the late answer, went offline for a lot of time :D

it's a xeon 4c/8t 2.4ghz with 16gb of ram, only 4t and 8gb are passed to the docker vm.. plex is used only by me so i rarely do more than 1 stream at the time (locally or over wan) and even that it is serving the files directly and not transcoded because all my clients (ipados, android9, firetv4k) do accellerate so no need for transcoding (just dolby audio on some devices, never video).
