Simple question, controversial question.

/thread

My answer, No. BR games are random, random isnt competative. Discuss.

i mean yes and no, i get what you're saying but at this point any game you can win money from is an e-sport LOL take a game like fortnite for example, they gave away 100 mil in prizes therefor its called an e-sport. so theres no telling really.

i find it dumb how theyd have a $1 million dollar prize pool for an individual for a BR game. Epic at this point is using all their money to make bigger prize pools for tourneys to be relevant at this point. its really the only time fortnite will get viewership is if theres a big pot on the line. BRs really dont last in a esport scene and theyre not really fun to watch anymore

some BR games is EA sport, some others shouldn't be tho...

I don't think its quite a good esport. There are just too much luck involved in the game, there is also the way how it is structured which makes it hard to be a "sport"

Its not really a sustainable e-sport team for big orgs, because with a team you can have sponsorship deals, and players, but with BR games its just a one person thing. So ads, sponsor, and organizations arent really much of a thing

I believe it is an e-sport as it requires skill and more gamesense. I don't like repetitive games. I'd like games that can change all the time requiring more skill and you need to expect the unexpected. CS:GO (as an example) only has 6 categories of guns and are always at the same spot. Which only required around a day to learn the map but with games such as fortnite it can be 1000s of games until you fully learn everything.

ofc they are. It you have to be tactical and have skills to aim and such so yea i think it is. just look at fortnite price money more then any game

The randomness does take outr of the competetiveness but then again more so than that I 'd say its also blind luck on what gear people get.

Agreed with the above post. It's not quite as competitive, but still entertaining to watch at high levels.
