Im sure there is more then a few software devs here.
Why we only giving out awards to the web devs?

To be honest I kinda agree in regard to this but we could alternatively just change the Web Dev to be for both?

Let's be honest you wouldn't get that award anyways. Regardless I don't think this would be added, a merge may be more likely.

but adding another award is better than merging with the web dev one and potentially removing the awards from those who had it before for that reason only

Probably merging it into "Developer" would be better idea. Otherwise we'll end up with web dev award, mobile dev award, backend dev award, sysadmin award etc.
