the canon 5D mk3 can be found around the price range you are looking for, and will get you a full frame sensor good for both photo and video. For the time it was professional grade so you would be pretty happy with the quality you get out of it.

I love the Z cam its a cheap powerful cinema camera with almost every feature you need

I've got the new Sony A6700 and it's been working really well for hybrid shooting. Photo, video, it handles all quite well. Up to 4k 120FPS and 10 bit 4:2:2 color.

Combine it with a good ND filter and you never have to switch again.

If you want just video, I'd say the FX30
