Most sites come with hosting that has ddos protection and you could always make your own ddos protection script but if you take the index.php off the url it wouldn't redirect right I'll get my ddos protection script off my site later and send it too you bud.

Yeah the script is like cloudflare but it's a script you add to the root of your site mainly keep your site from being ddossed and keep bots out :D and you need any help with your site with security or anything my skype is exploitmaker

Get an OVH dedicated server, Incapsula (Recommended over CF) or CloudFlare Protection and you're all good. Also, there may be some vulnerabilities for MyBB so make sure it's patched too.

OVH is pretty flawed when it comes to Layer 7 protection. If you want both, you could easily get a reverse proxy. They are pretty cheap and hide your IP too.

There is no good software method to prevent DDoS, hardware is the only answer. FYI, Cloudflare only mitigates DDoS if you are on the Business plan, otherwise it just forwards all traffic to you.

Exactly cloud hardly don't help why you got to make your own stuff it comes out a lot better and least you know it would be secure then

I agree. CloudFlare just passes the traffic to the origin server.

As I said also, there is no good software solution to prevent DDoS. If you have no hardware solution, you are not protected at all.

Software would only defeat DoS and small Layer 7, these days no one does DoS or small.
