I'm an amateurish web developer, not professional by any means, but I'm trying to work my way up there. What would be the best approach to learn PHP?

Make something. Pick a software, make it. Really helps Smile Try to read around when you are making it, like "best approach to do XXX" etc. Implement OOP concepts in your software.

I'll take this in mind, seeing as you're a pretty skilled developer yourself.  :yus:

You can only learn the basics on codecademy, never a language properly.

I learnt by pulling apart a shitty paki clone of a text based mmorpg, I highly recommend doing the same thing.
