Best hardware for mining ?

The best hardware is probably the 1080ti, but it depends on your available money

dude you dot even need an i7, you could use a celeron cpu. dont go 1080, it will eat your electric and way to expensive. Go out and grab 1070's i roughly get high 20's to 50+ hashrate on a good day. Problem with 1070s now is hard to find

What are you mining? if bitcoins and litecoins i recommend antminers as well. if those are to expensive buy either 580s or the 1070s if mining litecions and ethereum

Yes for bitcoins, as others have said, ASICs all the way.

Altcoins; I recommend Vega 56 or GTX 1070

for BTC they already got specialized hardware for that, for others, using graphics card is the norm

You need a ASIC for bitcoin but same thing as he said you would need video card such as GTXs for mining alt coins

For bitcoin go with Antminer S9 or something else in the range of +10 TH/s

For Ethereum and others non-ASIC i would suggest AMD RX 570 or 580. Or if you want to go high end buy AMD vega 64.
