I really recommend REC, it's in Spanish but it's probably the best horror movie I've ever watched

I really liked 13 Ghosts and Wrong turn. I don't think they make horror movies the way they used to... Not scary enough

The Shining is an amazing horror movie. People who haven't seen it should see it as it has an amazing cast and is well directed.
