Best software for font design?

I've been getting really into typography lately, tried fontforge and some other softwares, but what do you guys reccomend for font design?

Hello, it clearly depends on your system, you better be on mac to do typography. The best software on mac is Glyph but personally I am on Robofont because I learned with it. On windows i think fontforge is the best, there may be some version of robofont on windows. but the best is to start a lettering with a pencil on a sheet good luck
