MtGox CEO finally arrested in ties for the missing bitcoin amount of $387m~.

It's probably gonna be like 5 months of community service and a $50k bond or something stupid, for stealing millions of worth btc.

I didnt even know about this. It's btc not a legal tender if he has good lawyers hell get almost no punishment..

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I don't really know much of law when it comes to Bitcoin - but it's probably going to be treated a lot differently than as if it were money from a federal bank. He's also dealing with Japan's legal system too, probably. Since he was arrested there.

The only thing could be "hacking" them to get the BTC i dont see them thinking of the BTC as real money.

Is there a large backstory behind this? I don't really keep up w the news, much less the cyber type news. I read the article, but I feel like I'm missing something.
