I just saw recently about the rise of assault to Asian-American communities for the past few months because of Covid, but has it gotten worse or that it just got highlighted more in media?

i think its definitely gotten worse its starting to gain some type of traction but not to the point where theres countless resources, funds etc to help the issue which is kind of sad because it shows how racism against asians is so normalized and uncared for

i believe that it has gotten worse but also at the same time this violence is finally being highlighted by the media. racist attacks on Asians have always been a problem

Hate crimes have been rising across the board in the last half decade. Asian American hate crimes have been up--the history of violence and discrimination against Asians specifically is usually underemphasized in the rare occasions Americans learn history
