Hey fella! If you play CS:GO, this guide is just for you.

Practise Tactics (Solo and/or w/team)
There are many ways to complete this step. Everything from a community server to a Deathmatch game. Start of as CT, find good spots, practise grenades and smokes.
I myself always have escape ways and hiding spots in every situation, in almost every map. It's all about discovering, if you have time of course.

Warmup
Warming up is the golden tip here. Practise escape routes, good holding spots, grenades, smokes etcetera. CROSSHAIR PLACEMENT. CROSSHAIR PLACEMENT. CROSSHAIR PLACEMENT.. The golden-fucking-rule. You're never going to reach high without good crosshairplacement unless you hack (which I do not support). I mean honestly, why do you think people hack? Cause CS can be hard. Don't be like them. Spend 10 minutes of warming up before a game (each 3/4 hours) and you'll be ready.

Warm hands
A lot of you probably know this already. Always warm up your hands. Flicking and moving in general is always going to be more difficult with cold hands. Save your teammates from.. being that teammate.

Communication / callouts
Know your callouts. Be precise. "With presicison, comes success" as a wise man once said. This can save a game, keep that in mind.

Be an overall good teammate
The title says it all. Think of the word.. Team-mate. Team as in a group who plays/work together, and mate as in a friend. Not a rival.

Focus on the things you need to improve
I'm not telling you to not practise what you already consider yourself good at, but practise more with what you aren't. As a previous leader of a CS team, I've experienced a lot of players who were really good at one certain thing (don't get me wrong, this can be a good resource too), which can be a problem. Improve your overall CS skills.

Use your own configurations
I'm not saying you shouldn't use someone else's configurations, but yours is always the best to use. If you make it yourself, it's gonna be just how you want it. Of course, if KennyS' configuration files fit you the best, then use them. But try different configurations and stick with one.

I hope this helped you a bit out. If you all want, I can make a new post in the future with more tips. Merry christmas.

Sort of a decent guide I suppose. Being someone that has well over 4,000 hours in CS:GO, I see most of these points being pretty generic and obvious, but aren't followed often.

The big idea is to be your own player. There is no step-by-step guide to becoming Rank S on ESEA. Sure, anyone can suggest practicing daily and even go as far as to review demos and give their feedback (WarOwl, lmfao), but the only way you're going to get better is consistency and play time.

Changing your resolution and sensitivity every five minutes to match a professional player that you saw on Twitch one time isn't going to make you a good player, it'll likely make you worse.

Okay guide, but really not that helpful to anyone above Gold Nova 1.
