Today a friend send me a link about Bitcoin Mining and a Guy that had his own Mining Setup in his own bedroom.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fr8bp8a2QS4

Its interesting video and very Scary one. I usually let my PC run overnight too sometimes when I am rendering and use 100% GPU Power. But after that Video i really thinking of puting my PC into Other Room.

Take Care out there if you Mine at Home.

My honest recommendation to all of you that mine from your computers at home is: Don't.

Even though you might get some amount of cash for your efford, you are significantly reducing your device's lifespan.Overheating, burning yourself and melting other hardware is not uncommon.
And in the end, even if those risks above didn't happen, you are still consuming your household's electricity to run the device to the maximum.
Whatever you make, will most likely be balanced out from the electric bill (if any profit at all)

The only viable option when mining,is to do it at a business PC that you do not own.

I agree with this 100%

mining at home specifically from lets be honest a lowend to semi medium end pc is a complete waste in 2020. Maybe about 5 years ago it was semi viable but not now a days.

In my case, it's probably not even worth, comparing to the cost of electronics.

My friend in Sweden has a special deal with an electronic company he gets very cheap electric overnight, so he lets his PC mine in the night but to be honest he showed me his platform where he mines. He literally needs to farm 1bitcoin before he can payout ... I am like bro that takes a while. He told me around 1-2 years with his PC.

I don't know but in 1-2 Years his mining Site probably not even exist anymore he wasted the PC power for nothing...

Here is an interesting video that's already some years old.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8kua5B5K3I

If you mine you probably need to go out all crazy. They mined 4050 Bitcoins per Month what is around 1.5 Million back in the days.
And alone that sound in that Room...

No, the electricity costs are too expensive because you might make a few cents in profit

Most profitable miners are able to start with a decent investment worth over a couple thousand dollars, if you can afford that then do it, but if not and it will just be a PC mining, not worth it.

I'm surprised that anyone would be able to sleep in the same room, while runninga miner at 100% GPU usage-- the fan noise would be intolerable. I run a couple of ASIC miners in the basement, and upstairs, I can still hear the whine of the fans.

It's only profitable if you have;

1) Cheap parts, or low ROI.
2) Cheap electricity.
3) A bit of cash to start so the mining is actually worth the time. Or else it'll take forever to make some real cash.

I tried a home setup a while back but the electricity cost killed me. Tripled my bill and turn the room into a sauna. Best off to try and do the sneaky set up at work I think
