Ok. So for someone who is a freelance DJ/MC (or Hypeman to some), I happen to love music on a different level. Just saying.

But anyways, can you guys also notice that the typical movement of pop music is very similar to last year? 2016 was the year of Martin Garrix and The Chainsmokers. Trap music was the "go-to music" wherever you go (whether its on a club, bar, music festival, etc). But I would love to be specific that the trap music that most of the Superstar DJs/Producers do are the melodic-ish trap music (compare Roses to Purple Lamborghini. You would notice the difference). Linkin Park also produced Trap tracks like Heavy on their latest album released last year before Chester passed.Well besides that, latin-ish house music also became popular. Even Moombahton and Reggaeton (thanks to that freaking "Despacito") was played on the airwaves until NOW. Disco is slowly being revived in the mainstream music scene too just like how Bruno Mars produced tracks like 24K Magic then Finesse (that sounds like 90s).Even Paramore producing tracks like Hard Times and Told You So. But the wild card amongst them all would be the rebirth of the Trance music genre thru one of their subgenres called Psytrance.

DJs like Armin Van Buuren, Vini Vici are playing the genre on big music events. But they are not alone. I even heard Timmy Trumpet played some VIni Vici tracks on his performance on this year's Tomorrowland in Belgium. Although Future House, Tropical House, and typical EDM sound is still relevant until this day.

I'm just wondering though. How long do you guys think that Trap music will be the "go-to" pop sound or genre? And are there also some people here like me who is excited for Trance to take over once again?
