So the Death Note movie came out recently, to anyone who saw it, what did you think?

I haven't watched it yet, may give it a watch later.

Downloaded it yesterday and might watch it today. Don't think it can beat the anime in any way tho.

since my childhood I love this movie and the anime, but the anime is much better, there is another story, but damn I cried at some moments from the anime.. When I was 17

Yes I agree with you a bit, but as a fan even with a mutilated story, he liked me, but nothing compares to the anime..

So just got around to watching it myself, as you say its nothing compared to the anime and quite unfaithful to the source material, but if someone hadn't seen the anime and didnt like anime I'd say it'd be a decent movie.
