As the others have said, it depends on what you're wanting to do. If you're wanting to get something that you can move around and use, go for a laptop, but if you're looking into something (like a gaming rig) that sits in one place, get a desktop.

Have a decently expensive laptop with decent specs, use it for gaming. I am not dissapointed. I never actually owned a desktop, it was all laptop. But considering i spent a lot of time at my brothers house all the way in another town, using a desktop felt cool, like a new excpereince, but i would not give up my laptop for it.

I travel A LOT, and a lot of the time its just to nearby towns, but wheter im going all over the world or just next to it, or even IN ANOTHER room, i want my MACHINE to go with me, yeah you can move a desktop around the house (if you put in the effort), but as a person who travels, uh , uh.

Im NOT gonna take the better specs, im just not going to, its not worth it for me, I LOVE the portability, how little space they take up (compared to desktops), and hey, they can still have very decent specs for a decent price. Laptops are my go to, but again, thats because of my personal specific sitation, at the end of the day, everyone has a situation to them, and they should choose acorrdingly.

It depends on what your intention is. If you want a flat out answer. PC has a lot more room for customization and upgrades. If your more about travel but still want a beefy computer. go with a multiprocessing laptop. aka gaming laptop suitable for specs. If you want a laptop that can go beyond and above. go with a modular laptop that can use desktop hardware. You would be looking at a hefty tag as well as weight. it would be quite heavy. similar to the weight of the old alienware mx18's.

my suggestion would be to figure out your needs and address it by that. if you want a pc that can handle basic web browsing. stick with a mac. XD garbage machines. Literally only thing valuable on those is the crappy brand. (I know ill get flamed for that one tho. but speaking from an IT standpoint. Macs are garbage.)
