I did like the episodes, I have previously studied the topic, and the result is pretty good. But don't you think it's a bit over-hyped? :blobthink:

I really enjoyed the series... my only real complaint would be the actors' accents, which did take me out of the experience a little bit.

I think it is a shame that the producers knew that a majority of their audience would complain about reading subtitles. I love it when shows/movies speak the native tongue based on the location. Letters from iwo jima and city of god are excellent films that portray this and are hailed as excellent films. But to each their own.

I watched like 2 of the episodes and I really cannot continue because of the blueish filter they have. They can only do so much to add unexpected events to a show covering history.

Overrated?? Not even close to that! The series is amazing and really detailed!

In terms of the viewing experience, it is one of the best shows I have seen.

Some people say there is some historical revisionism going on in the show but I don't know enough to comment on that.

I do agree that it was very very over hyped indeed

It got over hyped since it is a good look into the life of USSR bullshit

The dog episode really got to me hard. It's a powerful series. I heard Russia wasn't too happy about the series so they're making their own version of Chernobyl which will blame the disaster on the Americans lol
