Doberman Dogs

Does anybody here have a Doberman (since a puppy), are they good dogs to raise?

I need a dog that requires minimal grooming, is loyal, and more a guard dog than a pet.

I had a doberman when I was a child. They are very smart and easy to train. They are also very territorial.

My buddy has doberman without the ears or tail clipped, he's a big sweetheart but can be pretty scary/intimidating when he needs or wants to be. Most of it just comes down to how you train them, but yes, very little grooming required.
