I was wondering if everyone has their own editing workflow or just goes with the flow. For example, like you can either stack up on presets, overlays, greenscreens, sound effects - OR - download what you need as you go. Currently I'm editing a video that needs a greenscreen explosion effect and either i go on yt and download a quick one, or I go search for a little while and find & buy an explosion mega bundle so that I'm good for the future. Idk if this makes sense but I'd love to know.
i actually do, but its a bit complicated. first of all i need the right song or the right idea to edit. after that i put markers with text everywhere where i have an idea. the i try to execute those ideas very good and everything inbetween os just "bridge"
I don't recommend looking for resources as you go along. It's definitely much better to have a folder full of various resources and over time you will create your own original resources. This will save you a lot of time. It's just my personal opinion.
I think you should get your lineup done first make sure if you're working for a client get your lineup approved first lock it and then start working on VFX and CG.
