Ender dragon tips

I need some help, I know to shoot the crystals when he is near but is there an easy way to kill it on 1.7.10?

You can always try using beds, I believe they still explode in 1.7.10.

enderdraon can be eated by hand easily

just go to creative mode and type /kill @a

water bucket and a mighty sword, and some gapples. If you're good with taking out the crystals, the dragon itself is basically just "hit-dodge" type of fight.

Before 1.9, your best bet is just shoot the crystals and then shoot the dragon.
Do note that if you hit a crystal that the Dragon is currently using for regen, it will actually damage the dragon instead.

Get a water bucket and climb up the towers with it, and when the dragon hits you quickly place water underneath you as you are about to land
