Favorite War movie?

What is your all time favorite movie about a War?

The best war films for me are Apocalypse Now, Saving Private Ryan and Platoon. But there are other good ones, like Black Hawk Down.

this is a very good question. i'd say King Arthur 2004. It was a childhood movie i remember watching when i wasnt supposed to, but my parents were fans of that film so i had to watch it.

Saving Private Ryan. Excellently acted and the SFX have held up quite well since its release. I also highly recommend They Shall Not Grow Old; it's a pastiche of restored WWI footage overlooked by Peter Jackson.

Star Wars, that counts, right?

Not action packed but The Messenger (2009) is worth a watch.

The Patriot is a classic, but if they can be classified as war movies, Dawn 1 and 2 are amazing.

Apocalypse Now is a best for me.

Saving Private Ryan just for the emotional content. Has a quality cast of actors too.
