[HELP] Bricks Essentials not working?

Not sure if im even able to really make this thread here, but ive been going at this for over a day now and just cant get any progress, and none of the actual support are even being useful so im realistically better off coming to the community for help. Im new to making Garry's mod servers and currently making my first one. I was running it locally but just had to go to a webhost in order to do MySql database easier for bricks addons and some others. I was finally able to follow thru with the instructions on installing bricks essentials since i could setup MySql so i followed as the gmodstore installation tab under the addon says, and now ive currently got essentials and gangs on the server, i can access the !bricksserver menu and turn on/off the modules but F4 menu doesnt show up for it, if i enable all the modules than my data is messed up and ill have no tool bar, jobs, money, spawn inside the map... its just so weird i thought this was supposed to be just a tiny bit stressful. Please if anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it. Ask me for any pics of my server file that u need (that wont like give my private info out) and ill send it, thank you
RE: [HELP] Bricks Essentials not working? 12-01-2023, 01:31 PM #2 Are you using a leaked version? If so, the leak itself may not be fully functional and could be what's causing your problems. If that's not the case, then I'd advise you to try to switch to a local database rather than a MySQL one in order to test if that's causing the issue or not.

Yeah im using a leaked one sadly, i honestly might just go back to xenin because it worked perfectly its just bricks has sooooo much more too it i kinda loved it when i saw it. And yeah i dont know if its a bad leak file or what so ive tried looking some more up but just dont want to keep adding and removing different ones haha, and as for the local database stuff, i wouldnt even know where to begin haha. Im superrrr new to all of this and dont really understand anythhhing D: My server host support had to actually make my database and write out the correct credentials to input into addons mysql hahaha im kinda embarrassed.
Also i just noticed that im even able to spawn in the Bricks gangs entities thru Q menu and ive even earlier been able to go into !bricksserver so its like the addons are "working" it maay be my database stuff i just dont understand even a lick of that so im kinda doomed lol
Guess it wasnt just bricks, i tried going back to Xenin and now thats not working either.. just cant get anything that uses MySql to work or anything. i havent had an f4 menu on my server for 2 days now it just doesnt work but yet i can access other stuff from the addons like xenin deathscreens and some things. its strange. i dont know where i messed up. I recommend trying out a leak from a different person, my guess is that the specific leak you used just has bad code or is incomplete. As for the MySQL, using your local server database is as simple as leaving the MySQL Configuration Document of the addons untouched (basically leaving it as it was in the leak you installed without touching it at all).

I went a downloaded a new Bricks leak and also restarted server back to nothing and now i got everything working and stuff, just setting up jobs now and ran into an issue setting up a job that needs voting. Ill try to become job which should cast a vote but it just types the command in chat (ex: /voteSWAT) which i didnt think i would have any issues with that lol.
Edit: actually i forgot something as i was sending that reply. I forgot that i can SEE the jobs in the f4 menu after changing the jobs.lua but i cant actualy BECOME them, so im 100% that was why haha. ugh im such a noob in all this wish i had friends skilled in this field hahahaha

Nobody starts off knowing everything, I recommend looking at tutorials throughout the web related to whatever you are trying to accomplish. A good way to start off is by reading up on the different documentations published by the DarkRP devs. If you have anything in specific which you need help with, I would be happy to help.

Nobody starts off knowing everything, I recommend looking at tutorials throughout the web related to whatever you are trying to accomplish. A good way to start off is by reading up on the different documentations published by the DarkRP devs. If you have anything in specific which you need help with, I would be happy to help.

I really check out as much as i can online if it doesn't date back toooo far because some stuff is outdated and all that but for most part tuts from 10 years ago still work haha. Also i appreciate that a ton :D i deff wont bug u a whole lot if anything haha
Hmm well kinda having issues again with jobs and such lol.. trying to add a meth cook job and i got it all made with category and everything is all fine but i just now dont know how i go about adding the entities the job requires, well atleast i tried the methods i figured and kinda what i saw online but f4 menu doesnt update and gives me this error.

The printer gives tons of lua errors and just spawns the model and ive tried the best my noob mind can to read the code it gives but i dont understand it really.
