Its easy to create a free minecraft server! If you want a free 500mb minecraft server you can use aternos, works well not good for more than 5 players but it does what its good at!

You could also run one off your computer, for this I recommend looking it up as it is hard to explain.

Lastly it is cheap to get a dedicated server, 5$ a month for 2gb of ram (all you'll need if your playing non-modded) definitely worth it!
