How do you get players in your DarkRP server?

Hey, I run a DarkRP server and I was wondering, how the hell do you get more players? I mean, I know that most people join the servers with the most players at the top of the server list, but what if you don't have enough players or friends to get your server up the list? My server currently has a full rating since it has low ping and is authenticated, but still, no one joins.

Get some friends and they can tell their friends and so on thats how to start a decent pop

if you start a server alone, just make you things alone and when peoples join for first time, be smart and try to make them stay with you. give them VIP to make them feel speciaal, invite them on disccordd, try to sell your salad
