How long did it take you to learn programming games?

As the title say. Do you remember every code or you need to write it down while making a game?
I need to watch Youtube a lot while making a game.. really sucks but I have not being on the for a long time.
Im a noobie in it.

About as much time as learning an actual human spoken language.

I could have learned the most basic of programming languages such as java, python etc. but I am too retarded and ADD ridden to do so.

I havent made any games yet, but ive been learning code for about 5 years and in my third year of university i still dont think im very good lol
