I am just happy today and i feel to share my knowledge and help others understand how they can avoid the univeristy and still become a Network Engineer on there own.

The best way to become a network engineer without going to the university is reading CCNA books and Register the Eaxam that cost between 250usd to 600usd and become a Certified Cisco Engineer......which practically means you are now a Network Engineer!!

Certs will get your foot in the door but the experience is what is going to make you a network engineer.

Reading a bunch of books won't really help unless you have real practical experience as well

Not really necessary. You entered the university because you want to gain some experience. In case if you focusing on academic, ie for post graduate or phd then you can enter the university. What you told and suggest is your passion, even you are not a university graduate, but you are able to become a network engineer merely because you have pssion. Keep it up

Thanks for the tip. I plan to read and master CSS, HTML, PHP and Javascript on my own. I have started the basics. Am hoping to be able to troubleshoot and design simple websites in a short while.
