How to end a conversation

I saw a thread about how to start one but what about how to end one? For example when you just dont want to continue talking to that person but dont want to make it awkward

If i don't really want to talk to a person I would just say hey! give me like 10-15min and then just never message back lol and when I get a chance to message them back I would be like listen I totally forgot to send you a massage back.

Face to face conversations. Not through text messages.

It's really easy to do, just say that an urgent matter has appeared.
