How to improve at building in minecraft

I always liked the idea of building in minecraft the most, in fact it's my favourite thing to do however I feel as though my builds aren't really the best :(

I struggle a lot sometimes and I wanna improve so I can build a great survival world for the upcoming caves and cliffs update!!

if i were you, i would just do trial and error, get insparation from youtubers and just have fun, after all, its just a game
