CryptoC, the way I see it, in laymen's terms, is like some currencies mixed with stock exchange. By some currencies, I mean like currencies in Third World Countries that suffer devaluation for multiple reasons and for that reason the market has to adapt to the new value (Countries like Argentina, Ukraine, heck even the EU was effected because of Greece). So to be honest, society is quite used to money that jumps in value. And stock exchange because a lot of people involved in cryptocurrencies keep exchanging coins and investing them in other coins they think will rise in value.
EDIT: I think crypto is quite promising, even if the coins keep jumping around in value.
