You shouldn't have to overtly come out and ask. Unless you're 12. just start going out and doing things with her one on one/dates.
After a few, literally just say I want to be exclusive and you'll be good.

Theres nothing wrong with outright asking someone lol it shows the girl that youre a straight forward type of guy and confident instead of beating around the bush and being shy about it

I guess it depends on how you ask. A quite a few friends of mine have recounted about how they were put off by the person they we're talking to because of the "childish and lame" way they asked them out.
Might be something to do with the culture of where i'm from.

If a girl finds a man approaching them and formally asking them for a date then theyre honestly not shit and arent worth the time of day

I mean on paper it's a fine way of asking, but it's not exactly sweeping them of their feet.
Some people want more than a simple "Will you be my girl/boyfriend",

Well yeh you dont just walk up and say it out of nowhere lol But I'm sayin like be straight forward about it. Yeah do activities and such but when it comes down to it just pop the question

Ah yeah I agree with that. As long as you do activities/dates first. Can't just jump from talking to being in a relationship lol

I agree with the other guy. Just be kinda straightforward about it. Don't be like "Hey, wanna be my GF?" Instead just ask her out to an activity that you both enjoy. The romance will follow. If you guys want to get serious you can obviously have that conversation but there's no "right" way to take somebody out.

My suggestion would be ask straightforward with confidence and a smile! it's all about the persona you create while doing it
