Is Devilman Crybaby worth watching? I started it because everybody whos watched Violet Evergarden said it was good. However, these two shows are nothing alike and I still don't get the point of Devilman crybaby. Should I continueto watch?
honestly, i'm a big fanboy of the director who did devilman crybaby, and i'm pretty sure that devilman, which i rated with a generous 3/10, is the only work of his i've rated less than 7 on myanimelist i loved the artstyle, but just couldn't help but think about how the entire anime felt heavily commercial and formulaic is the same way most of netflix tv shows do - and at the same time, it was completely devoid of all artistic quality i'm used to seeing in his works
so, if you ask me, drop it and move on to yuasa's other works

haven't watched violet evergarden so i can't help much it'd be nice if you could list a few anime you've liked tho, maybe then i could think of something
and if you want to watch something from the devilman's director, kemonozume is probably the most accessible of his works plot-wise (although probably the least accessible art-wise), and the most popular is probably the tatami galaxyorping pong the animation
