Is there any way to upgrade mods from 1.7.10 to 1.12.2?

I'm playing with some friends modded minecraft 1.7.10 because of electrical age mod which is only available in this version, but we all want to upgrade mods versions. Is there any way to upgrade mods from 1.7.10 to 1.12.2?

thats very hard, only dev can do that

Yes you can, but you need to have some knowledge of coding.
