i actually managed to learn the cyrillic alphabet just by playing the game and reading the messages i got, i got very involved in languages too now.
trust me, it is absolutely worth it, you understand voice calls and chat messages and its very fun.
planning to learn swedish next, but russian is also an option.
so, cyka blyat and stay safe

Nice what a funny story.^^ My experience was pretty similar, reading is almost no problem anymore but I'm hard stuck with the vocabulary to understand what I'm reading. :/
