(This isn't an official thread, however I saw some people confused with this, so why not)
There are some things you should keep in mind when you want to apply for usergroups.
1. Think about the usergroup's niche
A niche is basically a topic of a group, whether it could be Anime, Manga, gaming, etc. Those are just to name some examples.
The niche of a group is an important thing to think about because you don't want to end up being in a group that you know nothing about.
UserA is in the Anime group, but he doesn't watch and is not interested in anime.
Before you join the group, ask questions. Think about
a. Do I really know anything about this group?
b. Am I really joining the group? Or am I joining it for the content, the UB, etc.
Most groups on NBB now require some condition of some kind, whether it be
- And so on.
Take note of this. Read the requirements before you apply.
Note: Some groups allow users to apply even if they do not meet the requirements. This is only in rare cases though.
Some groups ask for an Application format, some don't. Look for this on the thread.
If there is an application format:
Answer the questions provided and make sure you follow the format.
If there is no application format:
Use your imagination to make your own unique application.
Make sure to write in great detail about you as a member and your contributions.
For now, that is all of the tips I can come up with for joining a user group.
If you have any extra tips, PM me and I will add them.
