That could work for certain things, but if they've copied posts from someone who has already replied to the thread or just copied text from ex. newspaper, it'll be useless.

Well the good thing about it is that if you started noticing patterns within the text, you could filter in-betweens so any range of that sentence that would show up is automatically flagged. It's not a great system, but it worked at them time.

To expand on that idea lets say someone just outright quotes the first post and doesn't include any text (the quote would contas text for some reason), the scanner counted that as spam, or lets say someone copied an already said message and changes like one word/letter, the scanner would be able to catch that because it matches the words around that change and it correlates close enough to the original copied message. This however would have to be repeated multiple times for it to be effective.
