Jesus I hate this genre so much. I feel like it's low-effort and poorly produced.

I don't think I'm giving it enough of a chance, if you could tell me why you like it, I may be able to see it in a better light.

Haha, I know how you feel, I feel that way about everything with heavily auto-tuned voices, so that already covers a good chunk of mumblerap...

Putting auto-tune aside, I can't help but think that a lot of the preference between mumble and regular/lyrical hip-hop might just come down to social class and education... I mean, I don't wanna outright say that people who listen to mumblerap are less intelligent, but I'm sure if we actually gave everybody an IQ test and calculated it all, their mean average iq would be at least a point or two lower :lmao:

Life is like a box of chocolates, it doesn't last as long for fat people.

yeah the autotune really irritates me-- can't tell you why though, think it abstracts the musical quality.

it's definitely a stage in Hip Hop I do not like, but I get it... it will fade away soon, and rhymes with substance will become a factor again.

I kind of stopped listening to all hip hop except Death Grips when Exmilitary came out. That was before the whole mumblerap thing, so I'm sort of out of the loop.
