Out of memory Error

Help! I'm getting an out of memory error, but there seems to be no simple solution. The game is showing about 4GB available when playing (stats pressing F3) but it randomly crashes with an "Out of memory" error message

You can adjust the usage of RAM that Minecraft will takes by the following steps:
1. Run your Minecraft launcher
2. Switch to the installation tab
3. Hover the installation that you want to play with your mouse cursor
4. Click the "more" (the three dots button) button
5. Click "edit" button
6. Click "more options" button
7. Then you will see the "JVM arguments" keywords, edit the "-Xmx2G" below the keyword by changing the number "2" to "1"
8. That's it! Now your Minecraft will only takes 1 GB of your computer RAM. Enjoy!

go into your minecraft lacuncher and go into the settings then turn the amount of ram up
