(Rant) Why do server owners not understand the basics of how lua works

I do quite a few paid jobs on gmodstore and I've encountered so many server owners that don't understand that they have to either give me ftp or give me the files for the relevant addons so I can work on it. And a lot of them also can't even edit a config file without breaking shit. Lua is one of the easiest scripting languages i know yet they can't do basic editing without fucking shit up. /salty

I'm a server owner and I'm perfectly fine. I see where your coming from as I know some people that own servers that break almost everything they touch. I also agree that lua is a very easy coding language, it may not be super complex but it gets the job done.

Doing a job right now and the guy won't give me the addon files, and they're paid addons that I don't have a copy of, so I can't fix the problem. And, he likes to go afk and not respond while im asking him questions to try and figure out the a fix without having the code I need.

I own a server and develop my own content. Just because some are incompetent, dont link us together.

We all have to start at some point if we want to learn anything so ya know.

Because there are some kids who purchase server hosting and don't understand coding, just takes time for them to learn is all. It can be fairly frustrating though for sure.
