Is Google drive fine how it is? Or can I not use that? I don't have it linked to my primary account, and its easier for me to manage : P

As long as it isn't any [disallowed url shortening site] or any similar link, it's fine.
Users have to be able to directly download it.
In return you will be able to directly download the stuff you want, as other users have to follow the rule too.
