What is Vulcan?
Vulcan is an advanced cheat detection system which runs at the packet level. Each packet that is sent to the server by the client is run through one of Vulcan's 120+ checks, and any suspicious actions are flagged and alerted to staff members, and when a configurable threshold is reached, the player is punished automatically. Vulcan automatically analyzes and tracks player infractions and once a configurable threshold is reached, action can be taken against the player in question with configurable commands found in the plugins configuration file! Vulcan is only guaranteed to work on the following: Spigot, PaperSpigot, Tuinity.

Vulcan has many unique features which set it apart from it's competition:
GUI: Vulcan's amazing in-game GUI allows for disabling and enabling checks and automatic bans on the fly. Many more features are coming soon!

Lightweight: Almost all of Vulcan's checks are ran on a separate thread and are run at the packet level, ensuring that your server's performance is kept at it's best and that it's detections are the most accurate and as fast as possible. Vulcan has been tested with up to 80 players cheating at a single time and there was absolutely zero drop in performance.


Complete Alert Customiation: Vulcan's fully customizable alerts system lets you decide exactly how you want it to look and function. There are an extensive amount of placeholders that you can add to either the hover message, or alert message itself! You can also customize the click command of the alert message. By default, Vulcan displays unique and helpful information to the staff members, including, ping, TPS, check information, and even the user's client version. This is to be sure that the staff are aware of everything that was taken into account and why that player was flagged. Vulcan offers many ways in which staff can analyze and be sure that a player was cheating in case of any objection.


Confidence System: Vulcan's unique confidence system leaves your staff at ease and can identify the level to which players are cheating, depending on the severity and values of the check that they set off. Each alert will be tagged with either LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, LIKELY, or DEFINITE. This is also totally configurable via the config.yml file! This unique system calculates false positive potentials when a check is triggered and the more severe the level, the more likely that a player is cheating! Vulcan offers many ways in which staff can analyze and be sure that a player was cheating in case of any objection.


Extensive Configuration: Vulcan's extensive configuration file lets you change things to how you want them to be - whether it be the alert messages, help message, or the log file, it's customizable! The full configuration file can be viewed here: https://pastebin.com/437hnZ9i There is also a checks.yml file, in which checks can be enabled, disabled, auto bans turned on or off, and the max violations for auto-bans adjusted. Some detection thresholds are even adjustable, such as for click speed check! Vulcan offers many ways in which staff can analyze and be sure that a player was cheating in case of any objection.


Advanced Logging System: Vulcan's advanced logging system keeps track of all violations logged by all players and all of the important associated with each flag. Server owners and administrators can easily check a user's logs and be sure that they were cheating. This provides server owners and administrators with an extra layer of confidence and allows them to verify player's claims in case of an objection to a punishment. All of the essential information about each flag and why exactly it happened are stored to make your life easier, as well as to allow for quick false positive fixes! Vulcan offers many ways in which staff can analyze and be sure that a player was cheating in case of any objection.


Judgement Days: Vulcan's Judgement Day feature allows for you to add players to a wave so that they can all be banned in a single wave!

Dependencies: Vulcan does not have any hard dependecies such as Protocolib, but in order to properly resolve player's client versions, atleast one of the following is required: ViaVersion, ProtocolSupport, or ProtocolLib. If your server is only for 1.7/1.8 players (no ViaVersion for 1.9+) then you don't need anything extra!

Installation:
Stop your server
Put Vulcan into your plugins folder (if your server has support for 1.7/1.8-.1.16.2 clients, make sure you have ViaVersion, ProtocolSupport, or ProtocolLib)
Start your server
DO NOT USE PLUGMAN LOAD/RELOAD!

Disclaimers:
Reach: The reach checks will only work on players as they require data gathered from the other opponent
Kill Aura: All Kill Aura modules are different and I cannot guarentee 100% detection of them all, however, Vulcan's kill aura detections are rather advanced and will detect the majority of kill auras given that an adequate amount of time has passed. There is no 'one check' (that is publicly known) that will be able to deal with all kill auras, just because the nature of how it works. Some kill aura checks will also additionally only work on players.
Movement: Players who have /fly enabled will automatically bypass all movement checks. For a short time after disabling /fly as well, they will also bypass the checks to make sure there are not any flags in the short period after they disable flight
Newer Versions: Newer versions of Minecraft require a lot more ram than previously (especially if you are using ViaVersion/ViaRewind/ViaBackwards/ProtocolSupport). We recommend a minimum or 2-3gb of ram if your server is 1.12.2 or higher!
Irregular Clicking: Irregular forms of clicking such as butterfly/drag clicking may cause false positives with things such as auto clicker checks and others
Special Abilities: Some special abilities plugins which alter player movement may cause instability and false flags (depending on how they work)
ViaVersion: It is highly recommended to run ViaVersion on the Spigot server rather than the bungee proxy (if you have one). ViaVersion running under bungee is known to cause issues
Velocity Checks: Only flag for vertical velocity at the moment (anything less than 99% and greater than 0%)
Alternate Clients: Vulcan is designed to work on the vanilla client. Any client that is not vanilla may cause issues (for example, Lunar Client/other random poorly made "PvP" clients) which are beyond our control and not our issues.
GeyserMC: We do not support this.

Commands and Permissions:
/alerts - toggle on and off alert messages | vulcan.alerts
/vulcan - shows help menu and other command | vulcan.admin
/jday - allows access to judgement day commands | vulcan.jday
vulcan.bypass - players with this permission will bypass all checks
/logs - view all logs a player set off in game!
