I'm so glad no one pitted it against other Battle Royal games. I really hated how it was getting momentum with some streamers a while back. It probably still does. But I just don't see why. Fine, it's free. But so is Fortnite, and it's got far more personality than RoE. The game design is so forgettable. And the game mechanics are aweful. I mean, try driving vehicles, it's surprisingly bad. All of a sudden you'll find your vehicle jumping around for no good reason.
And last time I played the game, there wasn't much variation to weapons. Some of them were so alike in performance, it was pointless.
And players somehow suck. I'm a mediocre player when it comes to multiplayers shooter games. But I had no trouble winning rounds even when I had no idea about the weapons and their mechanics.
I kinda enjoyed it, the only bad thing is the hit detection and the bad server locations. It was something new though, the scate boarding, zip lining and so on, most of the popular games (Fortnite etc) took on some of those features later down the line.
