Unless you got next to free energy and plenty of money to spend on ASIC miners, I don't think you will make much mining.

Invest in something stable, bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency isn't stable. It literally has no value, it's just made up. Watch the video of Mark Cuban describing cryptocurrency and why it's dumb to invest into it.

At this point, you've missed your chance to start mining. If you're interested in getting involved with the bitcoin scene, you're best off buying bitcoin and trying to sell it for a higher price. Your chance for mining has pretty much left the station. Unless you have a shit tone of money to drop on high-end hardware?

Depends on what coin, I believe it is worth it for Dash, LTC and Augur atm,.

Don't invest in Bitcoin for a long term investment. Cheaper crypto-currencies that are almost tripling in worth are much more worth investing your time and money into.
