Essentially, I plan to move out of my current home into an apartment.
What I would like to know is:
  1. What kind of bills do I have to pay (besides rent, which I see is around $500 more or less)
  2. How taxes and stuff will apply to me (as a resident of South Carolina in the United States)
  3. What I'll have to do if I go and buy someones vehicle on Craigslist or from a friend
I am going to be able to hopefully keep a stable job making two dollars above minimum wage,
working 24 hours a week while I'm in school (Saturdaysand Sundays).
I hope to work full-time over the summer or when I graduate high school.

I also hope that I'm going about moving out the correct way to where I don't fuck my life up.
All responses are appreciated, as long as they're serious.

1. You will have to pay for
A house
A car
Gas
Electricity
Water bills
WiFi
Phone bill
Food
And any sort of medication you have

That's if everything goes well and you don't get sick or in an accident.

2. Taxes vary from state to state. You need to do your own research for that kind of stuff. Just look up "how bad is tax in *state*"

3. You contact the person. Set a date to buy your item. Then go over and buy it.

That's great that you're moving out the house! Big step to fully becoming an independent adult haha.

I agree with the post above. You definitely have to consider paying for all of those. Also, It depends on which apartment you'll be living in. Some landowners pay for the utility bills, so I would try to find some apartment with that deal. It'll save you money.

Also, work as much as possible and start saving up right now. IT'll really help you.
welcome to the good life.

1. Besides rent, consider a monthly food expense. If you're eating out a lot, that can easily be hundreds, if not thousands, per month. Then there's utilities, internet bill, phone bill as well as health and car insurance.

2. Oh boy where to begin. There's income, sales, social security, and even property tax (although I don't think you have to worry about that if you rent).

3. Make sure you have enough set aside for any taxes and extra charges you'll have to pay for on top of the price of the car. Don't forget the cost of license plate registration and everything like that. Also, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have some money on the side for repairs as you'll probably find something that needs some work even after just buying the car.

OP, make sure this is a decision you're really committing to. If not, you can find yourself in a ton of financial trouble with nearly no one to support you if you fail. If I were you, I'd wait a bit to build up at least $10k in savings just to make sure that if anything comes up, you'll be able to cover it.

Good luck and feel free to message me if you just need someone to talk to.

What I meant for number 3 is getting it registered in my name, and how it affects my insurance.Sorry for the confusion.

Do you recommend any websites I can use for researching and finding apartments that could have those benefits?

I don't plan on eating out much and I also don't plan on having many friends over (since I only have 3 good onesand they're mostly busy or their parents don't let them out of the house).

I also will note shooting you DMs with more questions about what I can expect, I really appreciate the help.
I will also try to save up 10 grand, which should be more than enough to cover me for like, a really long time.
My goal is to be moved out and able to request emancipation before August 2019, I understand that if I'm not ready then I'll hold off but that's my current goal.
