It's a currency created out of thin air. It can only rise in value to the extent to which there is a high demand for it. Or if the demand is more than the supply. Investing in it is nothing but gambling on speculation. Gambling is not a bad thing and speculative investing is not bad. But it is better to be clear that you are simply gambling and speculating. You have a 50% chance of losing all your money.

short answer: no

long answer: you should own small amounts of many cryptocurrency just in case that any of them gain a rise in popularity so that you're ahead of the curve.
When I first learned about bitcoin they were 36 dollars a coin. I highly regret not doing that. You could be in my shoes right now without even knowing it.

I wouldn't invest in litecoin the better option would be tether.

Not quite, just because price went down instead, doesn't mean you "lose" , it just means it could be a while until it goes up.

There is no lose, Just a longer wait.

if you go for a long term and you have some spare money just buy some LTC. Who know if next year you can rich with it.
