The first thing you should decide is if you have a reason to do it. Granted that just wanting to does count as a reason. If you have one, I'd say do it. Otherwise, it's not really worth it. You don't gain much without a purpose for it. It's not going to just be magically better because it's rooted. You'll visibly see nothing without putting it to use.

I sometimes just download random APK games on the internet and use a file browser app and then I can install it.
